Studio Sir William's studio. Several paintings are being worked on. Birches were a favorite subject. Van Horne presented one on this subject to every friend who settled in St. Andrews. The painting on the wall is now in the possession of the Province of New Brunswick, and is among several displayed every summer on the Island. LAC e007914032

Mary Van Horne Sir William's younger sister Mary. She was an early and regular visitor to the Island and kept an interesting diary for the year 1896. She died young. LAC e007914040
