"It is expected Prime Minister Lester B. Pearson will be guest speaker at the convention banquet scheduled for June 20." Beaverbrook Dies.
Two conventions Open Algonquin Hotel Friday. New Brunswick Chartered Accountants "will share the spacious convention hotel" with Moore Business Forms. Manager Kendry McKell's first managerial position. Staff Walter Copeman accountant; John Mullie, Royal Alexandra, assistant manager (second season); Maitre d'Hotel Carl Dowd; W. E. Inarson, Chef, from Royal York; Robert Clark, Chief Steward, St. Stephen; Alice Purton, Housekeeper; E. F. O'Brien, Superintendent of Service; Wesley E. Matthews, Chief Engineer; Doug Sanders, new golf pro (from Riverside Club, Saint John ). "Many of the staff have been here for many years and several spend the winter months at Nassau, Bahamas."
June 17-20 Royal Architectural Institute of Canada. First time in Maritimes. "This convention is bringing an unusual exhibit for competitive display." 250 delegates and wives.
400 delegates for Canadian Feed Manufacturers—largest convention this year. June 29-July 1. Expected to use all available accommodation in St. Andrews.
